Dafnozonara Hydroelectric

The project involves a cement damm, 12m. high. The powerhouse is aside the dam, at the left abutment, powered by two Kaplan S-type turbines.
At the right abutment are a small boat and fish passage.The project was implemented by TERNA S.A for TERNA ENERGY S.A. The construction of the main part of the project began in 2006 and was completed in 2009.

The plant was conected to the national grid and was put in operation in July 2011.
Average Power Generation/Annum: 45 GWh.
